According to google, its "Colab, or "Colaboratory", allows you to write and execute Python in your browser, with Whether you're a student, a data scientist or an AI researcher ..."
Essentially, its their Cloud AI/ML platform.
Below is an offer l noticed on logging in to run some ML code. I followed the link to try to get the offer and got greatly disappointed - its cancelled!!!
I find it hard to believe Google doesn't have the capacity to accommodate the demand for this, could not have predicted demand [using ML/AI :) ] or maybe just offer this to the students located in the states upon verification of student/faculty status.
